Hi SlappyHappy2000,
Thanks for this - will give it a try.
Your post scored immediate 'value' points for the tip on how to toggle between team and single player mode - I'd been doing it the old-fashioned (hard) way...

Re: git repository now contains everthing to "make run"
Hi, noob question here: is any of this discussion relevant to trying to compile on Windows? I mean, I think that there are Git clients for Windows, so it should be...? Is the requirement to install Perl only for Git, as opposed to for RnD? I assume so as ?I have managed to compile RnD on Debian with...

Re: The World Making Challenge
Hi, apologies for dredging up old posts from the early noughties. This discussion looks excellent, there is a lot to learn here. One problem - all of the links are to zomis.net, and so they do not work. Is there anyone who downloaded any of the files at the time, and still have them, and could re-up...

Hi Zomis
Do you still have this, or any of the other things that used to be hosted on your website? I get the idea that there was some kind of data loss event in the past, so apologies if I'm bringing up painful memories

Re: 3D Maze
Hi, the link to the 3D maze is broken. But the funny thing is that it refers to a location on this website:
http://ambience.artsoft.org/levels/3dmaze.zip
Is there any way of obtaining a copy of the file please? Sounds very interesting and leading edge.
cheers

Re: tube-making easier
Hi, I have been searching through old posts looking for clues on how to compile RnD either in or for Windows. (I want to try out making some changes in the code). Anyway, that led me to researching about the 'RND Scripter', which led me to this post. This feature sounds really useful, and a big time...

Re: [4.1.2.0] Network multi-player doesn't sync up properly
Not an answer to this post, more of a quick side-question. It never occurred to me that you could run multiple instances of RnD on the same computer. Great. That would solve the problem of having only 1 screen for up to 4 players. But... 1. How do you do it? 2. How do the different instances each ge...

Re: Play as any of four player alone... or maybe not?
Hmmm. Where is this "Only one player must enter exit" setting? I cannot find it in RnD 4.1.1.0. All I can see that looks at all similar is "Only move focussed player".

Re: Amoeba doesn't behave as it should
Thanks Eizzoux. I get now that this amoeba doesn't ever grow too big, so it never turns into rocks. It seemed to me that it never turned into content either, even when it had grown to fill the entire level. But perhaps I didn't give it long enough. I'll try again.

Re: Multiplayer vs Singleplayer
Hi Eizzoux, Thank you for testing out my level, and finding a solution. I feel bad for not actually inspecting the settings and thus not noticing that there is a 'preferred network player' setting. But I don't think this is an optimum solution. As a designer of a levelset of multiplayer levels, I ma...

Amoeba doesn't behave as it should
Check out the attached level, which I built and tested in R'n'D 4.1.1.0.
The amoeba grows to more than 200 squares - why doesn't it turn into boulders?
The amoeba fills all possible cells in the level - why doesn't it turn into diamonds?

Re: Configuration for Mole leave behind
Does writing a reply to a 2004 post in 2018 push the thread back to the top of the queue? I hope so... Basically all the built-in monsters could be configured to a greater extent than they are. Currently, many of them can only be configured in terms of whether they can go into acid or not. Take fire...

Multiplayer vs Singleplayer
Take a look at the attached level. It is multiplayer, with four men. Set the game to multiplayer and play it. When you start it appears that you are all trapped in a room with walls and no doors. The clue is that blue man doesn't respond to key presses and when one of the other man touches him he tu...
