Add option to not prompt to replace a tape if the new tape has a lower score than the previous tape

More relevant in the era of online high-scores, methinks. Plus I just keep impulsively pressing Enter whenever the "replace old tape?" prompt comes up :P

Re: Server for playing levels / levelsets

Definitely on board with this! And I wouldn't mind using an IRC channel or the like to more clearly coordinate when others will be online.

This is from Conway's Game of Life.
Biomaze, from what I've observed, is some odd variant on Conway, where tiles can sporadically reproduce between generations. Is this variant seen anywhere outside of RnD?

Re: Where have all of the R'n'D Fans Gone?

I still check this forum from time to time, don't play RnD much anymore though since I can't find many good levelsets. I also kind of ran out of motive to make that tutorial set I brought up a while ago, whoops

Allow for using the "quick load tape" hotkey on "game over, play it again?" prompt

Right now, if I die while the "ask on death" setting is on, the game presents me with a yes/no prompt for retrying the level. But sometimes I just want to load the last savestate I placed right after I die, and when the prompt is open, I can't do that until I answer yes or no. That wastes ...

Re: Music info screen is kind of broken

It seems like if a track is assigned to something other than a level (e.g. info screen, level select, title screen...), it will be listed twice in the music credits.

Game of Life blocks spawned into the map cause the simulation to speed up

https://i.frogbox.es/llh I'm guessing this is because the spawned-in blocks don't bother to check whether they're updating "in sync" with the pre-existing blocks, and when the spawned-in blocks merge with the pre-existing blocks, it causes them to update at the same intervals at which the...

I really like what you did with the light bulbs at the top being wired to the receiver (assuming those are reskinned light bulbs).

Cream of the Earth remix

Just wanted to share this amazing instrumental remix of Cream of the Earth, one of the default songs in RnD, that makes it sound like a hard rock song: https://music.scenesat.com/track/cream-of-the-earth-firefox-dirty-drummer-remake-vs-romeo-knight SceneSat in general seems to specialize in remixes ...

Odd behavior when clicking objects in MM (not sure if buggy or intended)

1. Mirrors can always be rotated, even if they rotate by themselves. Holding left click on an automatically rotating mirror will cause it to stay in place, and holding right click will cause it to rotate at twice the speed. https://i.frogbox.es/lkn 2. Bonus orbs can be popped by clicking or right cl...

char_cursor and steel_char_cursor are indistinguishable in the editor

I think it's a cool idea to have tiles that don't reveal if they're indestructible until you try exploding them, but the problem is they can't be told apart in the editor.
