Re: Duplicate or Similar Levelsets and High Score Server
The "level set identifier" is simply the name of the level set sub-directory. Unless one of the two level sets is unknown on the high score server! This can probably (hopefully) be fixed on the high score server directly, so that you should get the correct score entries in the "hall ...

Re: Duplicate or Similar Levelsets and High Score Server
To be able to better test this special case, could you please zip both folders "Earth_Shaker_Collection" (including folder "Earth Shaker Explosions") and "Earth_Shaker_Explosions" and attach them to your reply? Then I should be able to perfectly reproduce the problem h...

Duplicate or Similar Levelsets and High Score Server
Back when I installed levels (a long time ago, forgot if anything special was done) I ended up with identical(as far as I can quickly tell) levelsets accessible from the choose levelset menu. With one of the identical levelsets pairs there's a levelset that new scores seam to appear to be showing on...

Re: Possible work-around for continuing in middle of tape playback issue
So, any hints on specific steps on a specific level (probably with specific points during playing where to save or load snapshots) that have a high probability to produce a broken tape situation (therefore being able to reproduce this bug with a relatively high probability) would be highly apprecia...

Re: Possible work-around for continuing in middle of tape playback issue
I will have another look at this specific level and tape again! That one's a rarity. It clearly messes up(around 5:01 mark), but then goes back to playing normal (around 5:51 mark). Most of the time when it messes up, once it messes up, it's messed up from that point on. Might be like trying to fol...

Re: Possible work-around for continuing in middle of tape playback issue
The attachment at the 1st post of this thread hints that there's bug situation at a specific point during playback which screws up the rest of playback, and not all the rest of the playback being messed up. 100-sp_level_collection_95-MessedUp-ButMakesItToEndExceptForEmeralds.tape (5.96 KiB) https://...

Add an option to auto detect bad tape at level completion.
It'd be nice to have an option to auto detect bad tape at level completions that would cause the level to be finished on future game replays. (not default?, I'd imagine it'd be annoying to those who don't care, and don't want to wait.) Like when a level get's completed, do a local quick run through ...

Re: Possible work-around for continuing in middle of tape playback issue
Assuming "START GAME IN PAUSE MODE" is "ON" ... This could be used to help detect if the finished tape will fail. Save the game with character stopped, right before finishing a level. (or finish it?) ||PAUSE Do a "QUICK SAVE GAME TO TAPE". (optional) Then do a []stop |>...

Re: Possible work-around for continuing in middle of tape playback issue
Questions/Thoughts/Ponderings (before I forget) Extra movement happens at points saved during future playbacks. Is it not terminating the run at the right time the right way? Status of keyboard at save spots, key down / key up? Does paused status at this point have any effect? Does changing frame sp...

Re: Boulder Dash, More time needed?
roughly PAL is 50 half frames per second, NTSC is 60 half frames per second. More exact ≈ to lesser exact ≈ to even lesser exact 24×1000÷1001 ≈ 119.88/5=23.976 ≈ 24 ...? ≈ 50/2=25 (?is this 119.88×5/24=24.975?) 30000÷1001 ≈ 119.88/4=29.97 ≈ 60/2=30 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_broadcast_vid...

Boulder Dash, More time needed?
MAIN MENU > LEVELSET > BOULDER DASH > VARIOUS > BOULDER DASH 3 ATARI > 10: INTERMISSION 2 /1 ~/.rocksndiamonds/tapes/bd_boulder_dash_3_atari/010.tape This level seems like it needs another second(or so?) to be able to complete in time. (same goes for level 030: INTERMISSION 2 / 2 , ...?)

Re: Exit isn't opening up
As far as I was able to find out, this bug apparently already existed in the original C64 version of this level set. Whatever might have been the true cause for this level being unsolvable, I have now manually fixed it and re-released the BD level collection package. So after updating the level col...

Paused at start data shown
When in paused in 'START GAME IN PAUSE MODE', when a tape is quick loaded, the status data(Emeralds remaining, tape time, ...) is the initial level load data instead of current data of the newly loaded tape.
MAIN MENU > SETUP > GAME & MENU > START GAME IN PAUSE MODE
