Graphic glitch: The phantom gem

Hi Holger, I was experimenting with a "teleport" CE (which counts collected items), and suddently encountered a gem which did not fall down, when I dug away the sand underneath. As it turns out, the gem is not actually there. It is counted as collected, but as the collection triggered the teleport, ...

Re: Trial of the Emerald: Trying to fix the things

Well, here's my try. Took a few hours and countless reloads (no single-stepping!) and here it is. But I didn't make the comparison to your initial version.

I really enjoyed playing the level. It's probably not suited as a tutorial, though ;)

Tape length limit

After a long absence on Rocks'n'Diamonds I recently updated to the newes version and had some fun with it again. (still an awesome game!) And so it came that I got to play the excellent Zelda2-"level" from Alan Bond (which I can highly recommend to everybody). It is advertised at the Download page w...

Re: Flumminator's Rocks'n'Diamonds Wiki, Chat and Documentation

Sadly, all of this is gone for quite some time now.

Holger, please consider un-pinning this topic from the "Help"-Forum, because it's actually no longer helpful :?

Fantastic. :? Secondary DNS works with DNS-entries from 2007, so the host gets resolved to two different adresses. I didn't notice this before, because the old server was still serving the site and I hadn't it changed in years. I'm working on the problem, in the meantime I've mirrored the zip-file t...

Sudoku (in R'n'D of course)

After a really, really long pause, I've done a little bit in R'n'D this weekend and am proud to presend the latest (ab-)use of custom elements to implement a totally different game within Rocks'n'Diamonds: Sudoku It's neither as ingenious nor creative as the stuff some other people managed to do (es...

3.2.6.1: Steel Exit can be destroyed

Hi, I've found that it is possible to destroy a (closed) steel exit (which is supposed to be indestructible). The key point is that the exit is not indestructible while the exit opens, i.e. while the opening animation is running. As soon as it is fully open, it is indestructiable again. Verification...

Thanks for your replies. I don't mind reverting changes once a day, as long as I know that is serves a purpose. Additionally I'd restrict the permissions on the most edited pages (one of which was FindPage containing the search form,...) to registered users only. Another possibility would be to prev...

RnD-Wiki shut down

Hello everybody, I haven't been around here for quite some time. To make a long story short: I've closed the RnD-Wiki previously hosted by me. I was getting annoyed by having to do 1-2 page reverts a day because of spammer while no "real" content had been edited/added for months. The question now is...

Proceed from right to left. Of course you need to use snapping and don't remove too much sand ;)

Yes, but "make mac-static" gives me:

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
__Unwind_Resume
I haven't figured out yet where this symbol should come from, so I couldn't test the result yet.

On the other hand I cannot believe that dynamic linking can cause such a big problem

Building on MacOS X

I've been trying to build Rocks'n'Diamonds on MacOS X (intel). Well, I actually built it with "make mac" and having installed the SDL libraries required with darwinports. The problem is: the program is horribly slow. If there's much graphical action (such as displaying the graphics/sounds loaded at ...

Rewdraw-Bug in Joystick-Setup

Hi, If you try to calibrate a Joystick but don't have one connected (yes, there are people trying such things ;) ), a "Joystick not available" message appears. But it does not disappear. Instead after a few seconds you can select menu items again, but only their bullets are redrawn, not the descript...
