Re: Where have all of the R'n'D Fans Gone?
Something has definitely broken in the forum. Today when I reloaded the top page it showed new activity in General Discussion, Bug Reports and Off Topic -- but only this one (OT) actually had new activity. I have the checkbox at the bottom of each forum, next to "Subscribe forum", but I do...

Re: Where have all of the R'n'D Fans Gone?
Until this reply just now by Lee Brewer, I hadn't seen any activity on RnD forums for weeks. BUT! Today I see half a dozen posts by Holger, all from August 25th! All about graphics corruption fixed in one of the 4.0.0 git checkins. I check every day or two, reloading http://www.artsoft.org/forum/ind...

Re: rnd plays wav 48000 KHz too slowly
What OS & version; what version of RnD; built by you, downloaded prebuilt from here, or built by your distro; what version and build pedigree of SDL libraries?

Re: no docs for elements in debian package
Perhaps the bug can be described as "no `make install` target in Makefile". Instead, the packager has to figure out what parts of the source tree constitute a working game setup. So perhaps they should refer to the installable packages on your site? Well yeah. But those include source, and...

Re: no docs for elements in debian package
Same on Ubuntu. The Ubuntu package descends linearly from the Debian. But I think this is more a bug in RnD itself. The top-level Makefile has a bunch of targets which refer to ./Scripts/make_{backup,dist,enginetest,levelsketch_images,prerelease}.sh -- but ./Scripts/... is not pulled by `git pull`, ...

Re: 3.3.0.1: Other players' sudden appearance in recorded ta
The new options work -- thanks! While playing with them (along with the `sudo ln -s ~/.rocksndiamonds/tapes/$LEVELSET $GAME_DATA/levels/"$LEVELSET_DIR"/$LEVELSET/tapes` workaround), my ~/.rocksndiamonds/levelsetup/$LEVELSET/levelsetup.conf got blown away. Not sure exactly what I did to cau...

Re: A Hello and small report about GIT and compiling
I was finally moved to try (harder) to build with libsdl2. My RnD machine is running Ubuntu 12.04 "precise". I installed SDL2 from https://launchpad.net/~zoogie/+archive/ubuntu/sdl2-snapshots ... then the build couldn't find libsmpeg2. Well, I could get that from where khvolk said, but -- ...

copy level file, save, overwrites wrong level
Hi Holger, For reasons which should be apparent, I did this before starting to play EMC Bond Mine 11 level 71: $ cp ~/.rocksndiamonds/tapes/emc_bond_mine_11/07{0,1}.tape I then played it back until the point where I had to diverge (much sooner than I'd expected) and solved the level from there. Afte...

Re: where did Element Properties go?
I don't think you can do it in a platform-independent way, but you're already aware of what platform you're being built for, so that makes little difference. 100 sounds pretty sharply constrained; maybe 1000? As a default on platforms where you don't yet have a better way of knowing. The better (pla...
