Re: Editor tiny quirk for even more customizability

Regarding "to limit editor palette for individual levelsets only to User defined levels", you could use "user defined element list" in the "setup -> editor" menu (which is "off" by default, I think). I know, but my point is to limit editor elements in a speci...

Editor tiny quirk for even more customizability

I have a little idea to expand editor's customizability: CONF lines to limit editor palette for individual levelsets only to User defined levels + removing +/- group buttons to only keep group abreviations or maybe even no group separating at all. I remember mentioning this idea a while, but that wa...

Re: MM polarizers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16

Well, at least it's not the same for cross polarizers, they only have four angles available.
Also, perhaps, the polarizer "optimized" rotation (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 only) could be an option for custom levelsets? Just an idea

Re: CE change page "player collects element" option is kinda weird

Funny enough, you gave me an opportunity to check it again, and... weirdly enough, that issue isn't relevant anymore, since it does not prevent you from moving before the envelope appears after 0 frames of element change. I guess that was case only in few of previous versions, probably around 4.1.0....

Well, I already mentioned it in the reply

The levelset itself is over here, level 003.

MM polarizers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16

Anyone wondered what even numbered polarizers are even about? I know they came from original MindBender, but... do they even have any functionality other than just to block a certain field of space?

Re: CE change page "player collects element" option is kinda weird

Speaking of softlocking, there's yet another levelset at least I have which is 'currently' uncompletable at all. Specifically, there was a little tiny bit when you could do a step before a step preventing action would occur (envelope showing, in this case), which was then later fixed. I made a while...

Re: CE change page "player collects element" option is kinda weird

For example, few of my works like Blox (both of 'em). There's elements which can remove all blocks of same color at once upon collecting, and, nowadays... only collecting, since snapping just cancels that kind of function.
Here's what that potentially looks like

Re: CE change page "player collects element" option is kinda weird

Well, in that case, it breaks some of the older levelsets, where you can collect and snap items, but nowadays snapping will just... break them down. Maybe, kinda like the "old and new game engine", this should be optional and distinguishable enough for the game to automatically know what m...

Re: Widescreen Mode 1920x1080 (zip)

Pretty much. But it can be done with some custom artwork, but both ways that I know are... flawed. Execution with custom elements already takes at least several elements just to sync up several tiles flashing together (not sure about just one element flashing), it would be still too small, and with ...

Re: Widescreen Mode 1920x1080 (zip)

Pretty much, the problem is just that on transition it slides from the off-screen field and doesn't update properly, and to fix that, it's better to make both doors go into the view from the bottom instead of the top.
Here's another fix anyways:

wow fixed again cool but where is RJ1 himself he could probably fix it by himself as well

Widescreen Mode 1920x1080 (fix)

Funny enough, I found the issue about the tape part being chopped off, and it's pretty simple. sghhtrdhtrh.png He made indeed viewports of door 1 and door 2 pretty well, but what he did not do is properly write down the background sprite usage for TAPE (background.TAPE.width). Instead of 800, it sho...

Re: no content undo!

Well, it's probably because the buffer remembers the level layout changes and not individual element setting changes, but I'd agree that this might be... a little bit frustrating, but that's somewhat common thing with most of the game editors in general.

Re: question about changing the background

Though, I'm still curious on one thing: is it possible to set specific backgrounds WHILE you're playing a stage? For example, Stage 001 has a specific background, and then Stage 002 has a different background, sort of like how you can configure the music. No, it's not possible to set specific backg...

Re: New option to have elements behave like acid

That is, the "acid" element is indeed a "special" element with non-standard behaviour, and cannot be emulated using custom elements. Isn't there another "special" element which can partially behave like empty space or something? I remember there's a Sokoban Field which...
