Re: Contributions 1995-2006

Contributions 1996: Level 10 in Martin Herrmann's set appears to have a missing exit.

Re: Unsolvable levels

Looks like most if not all of the DX Boulderdash levels have impossible levels too due to insane amoeba growth rates x.x

Re: Looking for BD II, BD 16 and XBD levelsets for R&D

The levelsets have actually been uploaded by Holger here just recently. Unfortunately all three sets also contain impossible levels.

Re: Supaplex border behavior

For reference, some good examples of the levels I'm referring to are 86 of collection 03 (Overflow) and 8 of collection 07 (Blind Pilot).

Re: Unsolvable levels

By "additional Boulder Dash levels" I meant Boulderdash II & Boulderdash 16, both of which contain impossible levels early in the set. As for where I downloaded them...I honestly couldn't say. I assumed it was from Martijn's page but again, that page hasn't been updated in a long time ...

Re: Unsolvable levels

Obviously this is an old thread and many of the fixed level files are likely lost now, but is there any place I could download a fixed version of additional Boulder Dash levels? The copy I downloaded from (I believe) Martijn's page still has issues making certain levels impossible.

Re: Contributions 1995-2006

Happy new year to you too, thank you for this wonderful game!!
Now that you mention it, the variance in speed is probably why this level is so hard compared to the rest of the levelset (the level in question is level 16 of Jan Hubicka's 1995 set).

Re: Contributions 1995-2006

Sorry for double posting, but I've made it to level 10 of Gerard Hausler's set and the pacman spam is really getting to me :S

Re: Supaplex border behavior

Correct, the perspective never moves unless you cross back over.
I suppose the levels that use this as a mechanic would technically be solvable, but substantially less challenging in almost all cases where this is used as a gameplay element.

Supaplex border behavior

This is a fairly minor bug, but it does affect a few of the trickier Supaplex levels so it's worth reporting IMO. Basically, when you move through the left/right border and emerge on the opposite end of the level, the perspective does not shift along with you in the original game, forcing you to pla...

Re: Input delay at the start?

Apparently the automatic level restart in the new version of the game actually fixes this particular issue.
Though it's still present if you start a level from the main menu.

Re: Contributions 1995-2006

Mine After Earthquake took a lot of trial and error but was really satisfying to finally get right. Though I am a little disappointed that none of the other levels in the set are anywhere near as challenging. Is there a reason the early Contributions levels (1995-1997ish) all have such a high speed?...

Input delay at the start?

This is something I encountered in version 4.0.1.0, so if it's been fixed in a subsequent version, please let me know! Basically, there seems to be an input delay when you first start a level, that makes certain levels that require immediate movement (specifically, level 32 of Supaplex Level Collect...

yup that's the one; it doesn't seem to be available on artsoft.org either :/
