THOSE DEEP-RED CAVE COLOR SCHEMES DEFINITELY HAVE SOMETHING! :D  
ALTHOUGH THIS WAS QUITE STRENUOUS FOR MY EYES, SO I WOULDN'T PLAY TOO MANY CAVES LIKE THIS IN A ROW. BUT FOR ONE (EASY) CAVE IT WAS IDEAL! :D

I DEBATED ON WHAT TO USE, SO I'LL TRY TO LIGHTEN SOME OF THE COLOURS TO MAKE IT EASIER ON THE EYES NEXT TIME.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT RED IS THE DARKEST OF THE THREE PRIMARY COLORS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF I COMPARE THE COLOR SCHEME OF THIS RUBY CAVE...

...THEN WE HAVE ALMOST THE SAME SCHEME, ONCE WITH RED AND ONCE WITH GREEN, BUT WHILE THIS RUBY CAVE LOOKS VERY DARK TO ME, THE JADE CAVE LOOKS VERY NORMAL TO ME AND MY EYES DON'T HAVE ANY EFFORTS.   
  
I GOOGLED THE TOPIC AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING BRIGHTNESS RELATIONS BETWEEN THE PRIMARY COLORS:  
  
RED : GREEN : BLUE = 3:6:1.  
  
WHILE I ALSO SEE GREEN AS BY FAR THE BRIGHTEST OF THE THREE, THE RELATION BETWEEN RED AND BLUE LOOKS TO ME RATHER THE OTHER WAY ROUND. I JUST MADE A TEST CAVE WITH COLORS 000055, 0000AA AND 0000FF, AND IT LOOKED LESS DARK TO ME THAN THIS RUBY CAVE.  
  
PERHAPS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH GREEN BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VISIBLE SPECTRUM, WHILE RED AND BLUE ARE AT THE EDGE?! JUST A GUESS :D

IN TERMS OF HUE INTENSITY, RED HAS THE LOWEST INTENSITY, WHEREAS BLUE HAS THE HIGHEST INTENSITY. IN THE SPECTRAL PLACEMENT, BLUE IS NOT QUITE AT THE EDGE BUT RED IS ALREADY AT THE BORDERLINE. THERE IS ONE STEP BEYOND BLUE AND IT IS CONSIDERED 'ULTRAVIOLET' BOTH DUE TO ITS IMPERCEPTABILITY TO THE NAKED EYE AS WELL AS HAVING THE HIGHEST HUE INTENSITY.

HOWEVER, IN TERMS OF MANIPULATIVE COLOUR, WE DO NOT HAVE VIOLET, INSTEAD WE HAVE MAGENTA WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE BLEND RED AND BLUE SHIFT LIGHT TO EQUIVALENT INTENSITY. 'ORANGE' IS SIMPLY RED AND GREEN WITH EITHER 2:1 OR 3:2 RATIO OF INTENSITY.
