once again the linguistic research was very interesting! it's no coincidence that "green" has the same word base as "grass" and "growth"! the indo-germanian base is "ghre" = "to grow", so "green" actually means "color of growth" or, more freely translated, "color of nature". i didn't know that linguistics can be so mind-blowing! :d
