to this day I still don't know how they were able to create the scaling rotation for the elements in the game. I've played a little bit when I had my hands on it in the day.  
  
however, there were four hewson games that I played a lot on the c64. Cybernoid II, paradroid, uridium and eliminator.

I remember I watched a video on this, but I can't find it anymore. Not sure if it also covered other similar games or just this one. Time to do some digging :D

I can't find this video, but If I recall correctly, the sprites were just scaled depending how far they were from the character (or the center of the screen) on x-axis, but there was more to that, some clever trick... now I need to know :D
