title: The Lost Guards

- Remake of Root -

A small tribute to the TLC series by Schlonkel, which features a lot of repeated patterns!

all \\\ ;-D

i really like this cave! not because of the repeated pattern, but for me it's just the interesting quest for a method to crush all bflies while getting rid of the fflies. also i love the color scheme, just awesome! :-D

thx 4 playing - and uploading - and congrat to 180d! ;d
in this cave, i didn't want to be too extreme and require all d even on l5, because i think that it's too hard of a penalty to play all this again for just one little mistake. i think 2/3 is a good requirement.
still, i like your strategy very much, very thoughtful!

as for the colours: most of the time, i just leave the default colours as they are - in gash, whenever you create a new cave, gdash initially chooses random rgb colours, so alternation is guaranteed anyway! only if i really don't like the initial colour set, i set new randomized rgb colours ;d

ok, i've played a bit with gdash' color randomizer, and i'd say it generates really nice schemes most of the times. i'm not sure whether it is all completely random. for example, here, all 3 colors are in the purple/red zone, but with different brightness and greyscale. this makes them fit well together.

perhaps it's an idea for this site as well to randomize colors when a new cave is created. and select a non-white color for slime/wall/amoeba (but still a bright one). ;-D

i don't think the gdash colours are completely random, either. i never saw an absolutely ugly scheme, and also the brick wall colour seems always to be relatively bright. cirix seems to have put quite some thinking into this!

with pre-randomized colours on this site, you would at least see less orange/grey/white caves from me, when i just forget setting the colours! ;d
