it started as an observational pattern of dancing butterflies as they hit the upper bounds, and wondering what they would do if the new left-leaning bffs would hit the theoretical corner in a four-way wrap.

Then I added more butterfly dancing partners to see what chaos can come from it (I even generated some floaters, named after the 5-block moving pattern observed in conway's game of life). but then it dawned on me:

why not turn this into a kind of abstractium level?

but I was not content on the subtitling. I went through a few small names until I've just realised, "oh wait, I haven't used this song title in any context".

hence the subtitle given, which is one of two instances of richard james (aphex twin) working with trent reznor (nine inch nails). "the beauty of being numb", and the other creation "at the heart of it all" appear on the tenth medium release, "further down the spiral", a versions ep of "the downward spiral".

it showcased richard's willingness to return to ambient abstracture for just one more moment, not too dissimilar to his "selected ambient works 2" tracks, but unique.

in reflection, this abstracture and the beauty of chaos being formed if you just let the butterflies idle was the perfect reason why I used that track title.

but eventually, order has to be made from the chaos, so I have allowed for the closure of the walls and a means to smash them :D
