based on  Arno  dash 8, cave 13, where i'm actually trying to figure out the max \ one can get. i'm at 99 so far, but if it would be possible to get 20\ here, i could probably get the 100th\ in the  Arno  dash cave as well!   
  
it's not really a continuation of the cso series, but as the heart of this puzzle is a cavescan order asymmetry, it just had to be this title ;d

fantastic! so, combining this with the techniques i already had by myself, now it's possible to get all 100\ in ad8, cave 13. i'll still have to check whether 100\ would still be possible for any other \| random mixture, or if one can think of a specific \| arrangement so that 10\ from a column are not possible. but now i'm almost certain that max\ are always possible, but still want to write down a definite proof - a concrete strategy that always works and always gives you max\.
