- Yellow Ambush -

The third rainbow colour comes with butterflies who seem to be practicing a formation for a circus show!

an easy cave, at least on l1, Κ can hardly do anything wrong! my idea was to make a cave around a nice-looking ΗΗΗ formation which i examined in the "funny flies" series.

classic bd themes:
| crushing ΗΗΗ with ΒΒΒ (bd1-d, n, bd2-o)

other themes:
| fly formations

difficulty: 1/10 (easy)

thematic colour: yellow/brown (60 degrees on the colour wheel)

colour 1 (ΓΓΓ): 100% saturation, 100% value (purest shade of yellow)
colour 2 (ΕΕΕ): 50%, 50%
colour 3 (ΙΙΙ, ΔΔΔ): 50%, 100%

etymology of the word "yellow": it comes from proto indo-european prefix "ghel" = "to shine", so historically, "yellow" translates to "colour of (sun)shine"!

etymology of the word "brown": here, the proto indo-european root is "bher" = "bright", the meaning later turned into the opposite "dark". in many other languages, "brown" is named after specific food (coffee, chestnut, chocolate).

oxford definitions:
| yellow = colour of lemons or butter
| brown = colour of earth or coffee

forgot to mention: i especially liked the colour scheme of this cave, although usually i prefer schemes where the ΕΕΕ colour is brighter than the ΓΓΓ colour. but for this cave, i found it somehow very nice! and this colour scheme was then also one main reason for me to make a whole game themed around monochromatic colour schemes :d
