taking in what was exhibited a fair while ago in "machine gun".. this time, the precision of the lower level is a bit more nuanced, and learning from the prior's mistakes, everything is used as intended. though, the price for messing up (or attempting to cheese) is cruel..

would you believe the opener was the biggest pain to do right? I found the best way to handle it was to ensure that if the growing walls were shut off early, firefly will smack voodoo, forcing all the holes to be plugged. as the level implies, using the butterflies to smash the walls implies precision, needing a full clear to progress (otherwise, the wall shuts!)

the gauntlet also has little room for error, as a single miss can cause a voodoo to get smacked. the only time you can be semi-lenient is the opener. the grow wall must be allowed to reach the end where the final heavy can block off the voodoo.

the solution i had involved shutting off the expanding wall with the first boulder. not sure which is quicker...

i agree, a very satisfying cave to play.

I was probably faster due to the firefly spending fewer frames getting to the destination with the canonical solution, though the ideal would to have all holes plugged without any "ridges"..

heywood , that's a cool alternative for the opening section! :d

altermaven : yes, the opener has become very interesting indeed, understandable that it took time to figure this out!

I needed to find a way to prevent any cheese of the opener, but heywood 's interpretation is valid if you understand how to manipulate the firefly away from the voodoo with the heavy. the price you pay is the firefly spending frames going into the dips.

made fewer errors, still can be beaten
