The origins of the "flaga polski" can be traced back to an old legend (see below).
Meaning of the colors:

(1) symbolic:
| white = water, spirituality, purity, inmaculacy
| red = fire, courage, bravery

(2) historic:
| The flag's colors are the Polish national colors, a silvery white and a purplish red.

| These colors are based on the national coat of arms, which shows a white eagle on red background.

| The coat of arms, in return, is based on a 1000 year old legend around Lech, the founder of Poland. That legend says that Lech, who had long been searching for a place to settle down with his people, saw a white eagle flying from its nest one evening, when the red sunset could be seen in the background. The view delighted him and convinced him to settle at this place - the city Gniezno, the first capital of Poland, was founded!

While Poland has no official motto, there are so many unofficial ones that I felt it's appropriate to show one of those. "za wolnosc nasza i wasza" means "for freedom - ours and yours". During the last two centuries, it has been (and still is!) used on numerous occasions whenever it comes to show unity in a struggle for independance and liberty ("our freedom"), or solidarity and assistance for other nations in doing so ("your freedom").

Well, converting the amoeba is easy enough, collecting the ΑΑΑ is quite hard :D unless there's some clever strategy

darkstoorm , i meant more my short overview about the polish flag in my initial comment when i wrote "i hope it's appropriate" ;)

but i think the cave is quite challenging too. my strategy is, after converting, to go from right to left to collect the "accent letters" first because they're most difficult to me.
