hi nesdori ! :-)

in a comment on your 6-elements cave, you wrote that this formation could be launched from a 4-elements formation, but only with some interference of rockford.

well, i have searched for such a launch method for quite some time and finally got one! :-D

i start with 4-el and connect 2 bflies in the following ways:
- the first bfly is connected at the right side. this is easy; a spinning fly at correct location/timing suffices.
- the second bfly is connected at the left side just a few frames later. for this step i use an upward path of dirt along which the bfly runs to the 4-el formation. but to assure that the 6-el can continue to move after its creation, this dirt must be removed by rockford very quickly - in fact so quickly that rockford touches a bfly. i solved this problem by placing a diamond at the top of the dirt line and snap the dirt below the diamond just at the moment the bfly passes this diamond. this way rockford can remove the guiding bfly path from some distance, without being hit.

now i'm wondering, the method that you found earlier, does it sound similar to my method? or have you found a "cleaner" method, without an extra diamond, or any help from items other than the butterflies, dirt and rockford?

by the way - currently i have two launch methods for 6-el, one starting with a vortex and connecting 4 bflies, and one starting with 4-el as i described above. now i need some time to create caves. :-)
