this cave shows a new dff (dancing fly formation) recently discovered by darkstoorm . what strikes (me) most visually is the ΖΖ-vortex at the left which is periodically lifted, similar to the small 3-fly formation "lifted Ζ-vortex". however, it's clearly visible that one of the ΖΖ is always lifted up t w o steps and then goes back one step to reunite with its partner. this makes the whole dff far slower than the aforemantioned "lifted Ζ-vortex", so my name suggestion for this dff is:

\\\ delayed lifted Ζ-vortex \\\

darkstoorm , it was you who discovered the dff, what do you think of that name? :d

of course, the Ζ which follows the "two steps up, one step down" pattern needs a lot of external help to do so, that's why so many flies are necessary to make the dff stable!

deeper analysis will follow on Arno 's forum thread! :d

for comparison: you can see the "lifted Ζ-vortex" dff, as well as two similar dffs, in Arno 's cave "mixed teamwork" (database)!

A very interesting concept and an interesting, unusual pattern, too!
