ACTUALLY IN THIS CASE, THE MAIN CSO EFFECT CAN'T BE SEEN IN ANY DEMOS BECAUSE IF THE CSO EFFECT OCCURS, ^ IS KILLED IMMEDIATELY!   
  
if you went for all 20ΑΑΑ, it's quite likely that you needed a few attemps until the random effect didn't occur. it works as follows:

this is the initial situation. in the following frame, the Ζ is scanned first but it remains passive. Κ is next, and of course he snaps the Α. finally, the Θ is scanned, and here comes the crucial point: the Θ sees empty space above (where the Α has just vanished) and so it has a 1/16 chance to grow.   
  
if the Θ does grow, Κ is doomed! let's see why. first of all, the frame is over, and the picture looks as follows:

now on the next frame, the Ζ is again scanned first. now that it sees the Θ below, it explodes and Κ, standing too close to the explosion, is crushed as well without a chance to escape!  
  
this means that every time Κ picks a Α, there's a random 1/16 propability to get crushed. so the chances to solve the cave with all 20ΑΑΑ in one go is  
p(20ΑΑΑ) = (15/16) to the power of 20 = 27.5%.   
  
so on average, ^ needs 3-4 attempts for all ΑΑΑ. if you first-tried it, you were quite lucky! :d   
btw i saw that  nicol  was successful with the very first attempt on this cave. i don't know if this was the first time that a cso cave was solved on the very 1st attempt! :d  
  
once again i got the idea while playing a fancave, in this case it was "dotterdash 6", cave 1 where Κ faces a similar situation once ;)  
  
btw, the cave features another cso effect which makes it easier for Κ. if the Θ does not grow on the first frame, we have this picture:

now on the next frame, the Ζ is again scanned first and even if it moves down immediately, Κ can still do nothing in this frame although he already contacts the Ζ! the Θ, which is scanned last, does see the Ζ above but it does n o t kill the Ζ (the bd engines are programmed such that if an Θ sees a Ζ, nothing happens, but if a Ζ sees an Θ, then it explodes.)

next frame, Κ is now scanned first, and that's why he still has a chance to escape before the Ζ inevitably explodes!  
  
to summarize: as long as the Θ does not grow, Κ has time for t w o frames to escape after snapping the Α!  
  
if Κ does take two frames to escape after snapping the Α, he's still somewhat playing with fire because if the Ζ does not move next frame, the Θ gets another chance to grow, in which case Κ would again be doomed!
