this time, the titanium wall color is the real yellow. i experimented with yellow dirt color but i just find it too bright, so the dirt color is a darker but monochromatic version!

btw i also checked where the word "yellow" comes from, and its origin is the indo-european base "ghel" which means "to shine" so you could translate "yellow" as "color of sunshine"! :d
the same base "ghel-" is also the root of many "gl-"-words such as "to glitter", "to glow" etc. which all have more or less to do with (sun)shining :d

there are also other adjacent words to describe yellow or 'golden' colour, such as "geld" or "gilt"; of course, this is referencing a more metallic, darker yellow in description ;)

yes, and of course the word "gold(en)" itself also has the same root :)

i wasn't sure about "glad"'s etymology when i wrote the comment but i later checked it and indeed its root is also the same as with other gl-words dustin listed :)
