very much unlike "5", the number "6" never looked much different from today in its history.

first and second shape:
the second shape shows the oldest known form of the digit which is basically a squiggle. the first shape tries to make plausible how this shape could have been developped from an arrangement of six strokes.
note that five of the six strokes are forming the ancient "5" shape (see the previous cave "5 is a mystery")!

third and fourth shape:
basically the squiggle just became a bit shorter over the centuries.

the next cave of the series will n o t be about "7" yet - be surprised! :d

an awesome cave! it's quite a bit of a jump in challenge level for me due to the timer vs. firefly count, but i found it interesting and amusing to figure out a good enough path to get the diamonds in time :) and, of course, the story behind the digit is quite fun too!

THANKS Rob Gilbert ! THE IDEA BEHIND THE CAVES IS TO MAKE THEM INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT, IN THE SAME STYLE AS THE BD1+2 5-LEVEL CAVES:
| DIFFERENT RANDOM SEED EACH LEVEL (WHILE THE DENSITIES STAY THE SAME)
| INCREASING SPEED
| DECREASING COUNT OF BONUS ΑΑΑ
| DECREASING CAVE TIME
| increasing score per remaining second

i have all the caves finished already, but i couldn't solve level 9 myself yet... :d

btw, the only bd1 cave which uses seed 6 is h/5.
