- Blue Ocean -

The sixth colour of the rainbow lies deep underwater, and Rockford must be careful not to get stuck!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this was me filling a cave randomly with ΒΒΒ and ΑΑΑ, placing Ν and Ξ in the middle and see how many ΑΑΑ i could get and how easy or hard it was to get the maximum! :d i was very happy that the difficulty varied a lot depending on the random seed, so that was a perfect 5-level cave!

i'm going to upload all 5 levels of this cave because i think they're nice independant puzzles! l3 and 4 tomorrow, and l5 later when the whole game on l5 is uploaded :d

classic bd themes:
mix of ΒΒΒ and ΑΑΑ (bd1-i, bd2-p)
puzzle (bd2-m)

difficulty: 2/10 (easy)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

thematic colour: blue (240 degrees on the colour wheel)

colour 0 (background): 100% saturation, 25% value
colour 1 (ΓΓΓ): 100%, 100% (pure blue)
colour 2 (ΕΕΕ): 100%, 100% (pure blue)
colour 3 (ΔΔΔ): 50%, 100%

remarks:
| as colour 1 is barely present in the cave, i made colours 1 and 2 identic.
| colour 3 occurs as the "glow" of the ΒΒΒ, ΑΑΑ and ΕΕΕ.

etymology of the word "blue": from proto indo-european root "bhel-" = "to shine, flash, burn". it doesn't seem very logical to associate the colour blue with these meanings, but but many languages didn't use seperate words for green and blue for a long time (and some languages still don't today!) maybe by the time that the separate colour "blue" was integrated into most languages, the original meaning of "shine, flash, burn" had been interpreted as "shimmer(ing water)". at least i think that's not a bad guess and would give some logic to the name "blue" :d

oxford definition: colour of the clear sky or the sea on a clear day.
