now this is a good one, and i was really curious about the slime permeability, so here is the chance to ask from you guys :)

i never really understood how these kinda slime permeability caves work, i always just guessed it. i remember one cave from the past, where i figured out to write down the correct time on a piece of paper that when a specific unit slime let the diamond through.

maybe i'm doing this wrong, but i tried every second on the timer here to let through the firefly to the amoeba on a permanent route. i might be not patient enough, so a huge shout out to the really hardcore players here, darkstoorm :)

i am really looking forward to see a demo on this one.

anyway, can please somebody explain to me this one? the permeability is some kinda luck? it can be very specific, but how can i calculate it on a this kinda cave? or just guess it?

Thanks fellner adrian , but I just lucked out on this cave :) just trying the same run, snapping dirt piece by piece, delaying the firefly.

The real hardcore is when nesdori / dustin / Arno / shredder are involved ;)

They can explain the slime magic, I can't :D

Oh, and for all the details, you can check "D 1033" cave, I believe everything was explained there ;)

adrian , you could check this page for an explanation on the working of slime:

and yes, as darkstoorm mentions, cave d 1033 is the ultimate hardcore cave on slime (im)permeability, plus a great information source!

Thanks Arno :D if I'm counting correctly, the solution in my demo is 50 frames long from the point when Rockford starts his movement

Arno , are you sure about the 74 timings? there are 75 slimes in the cave, which has no common divisor with 949, so i think there should in fact be 949 timings...

ah yes, i think so too now, there are indeed 949 timings... i already noticed that the pattern of which \ falls last isn't completely regualar, i mean, when delaying the firefly 1 frame, mostly the previous \ will fall last, but not always. sometimes there is a "jump" in this pattern. the pattern should then repeat after 949 delay steps.
