i took the opportunity to check out the first three episodes, and the biggest wtf moment were the lifted gear wheels in ep1 suddenly turning the corner... ;d ;d ;d

hmmm... is there actually a kind of "open border dff" with 1ff and 1bf? ;d

yes, although my dff-article episode 4 proves convincingly that a 1ff/1bf-formation does not exist, there actually exists one on the open border.

i spotted it while playing the 'fata morgana' cave, where it occurred by chance. it is still visible in my 43320-run when the timer hits 133.

i've analyzed this formation. in one of its phases, both flies are placed next to each other. because of the open border, the left fly (firefly) is actually at the end of the line, while the right fly (butterfly) is at the start of the line. Therefore, the butterfly is scanned first and moves down. that's why it works! :-D

just noted that the starting letters of "hocus pocus" are the same as "harry potter". fitting somehow :d
