Using a controller

Post by Gavin »

Is there any way to use the D-pad buttons to move instead of the analog stick?

Using a PS3 controller if that's any help.

I've used a PS2 controller and all I had to do was turn the analog off; but not sure if that's possible on a PS3 controller though. :?
Also, do you know if there's any way to reassign the buttons? I currently have to reach up to the triangle button to snap...

At least for RTADash's button remapping problem, I'm afraid there is no immediate solution available in R'n'D, as the events for the two "standard" joystick buttons are hardcoded in the game. (A solution for programmers would be to change the joystick button events to the desired ones and recompile the program.)

A general solution would be a setup screen to remap the joystick buttons (and directions) to various buttons just like the keyboard remapping functionality...

Well don't worry too much about it if it's not something that can be done fairly easily, because I'm know you already have plenty to deal with. :)
Gavin's problem definitely seems more serious though (unless my idea does the trick).
