Tapes

Post by chortle »

I am puzzling over the 2 x 3 wall, and so downloaded the Tape file. I double click on the tape file and it opens a RnD window but won't play the tape.

Is there a specific way to save tapes that I am missing?

Thanks,

Hello chortle, welcome to the forum!

Hm, directly clicking on R'n'D tape files is not supported and does not work (the game does not know which level to play this tape file with). (I'm surprised that R'n'D starts at all, as Windows would need a mapping from "*.tape" files to starting R'n'D, which the installer does not create. Interesting...)

Yes -- you have to (manually) store the tape file in the correct directory for the corresponding level, which is something like "My Documents/Rocks'n'Diamonds/tapes/<levelset>" (where your own, self-recorded tape files are stored for every level you've played).
