supaplex sound with exploding boulderdash element

Post by Martijn »

Hello,

download this:
http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=213

and watch the tape. With the third explosion, you hear a supaplex-explosion. Strange, isn't it?

This has already been covered in an earlier thread... it's a bug from earlier versions that only crops up in earlier levels that still use the older engine.

It's prolly the latest version, but the level set he's playing is dated from a while ago, since it's the old EMC pack. Hopefully I can scrounge up a new EMC pack, but I ran into a wonky level format (when I followed one of the links on the proboards bottom bar). In the standard zip was a file with an extension that started with a... it wasn't bound to my standard unzip'er, but it was bound to a copy of Winzip I had for a beligerent zip file. Winzip couldn't actually DO anything with it, tho. I'm guessing it's an Amiga equivalent of zip.

Those were for unsolvable levels, not levels with bugs. And on top of that, the packs haven't been updated because Holger's been so gosh darn busy lately. They really need an overhaul, seeing as how you can't set "use latest engine" for them or robots will be unable to drown in acid.
