Mario-style gravity?

Post by r'n'd fan!! »

So, how would I make a different type of gravity, like the kind in the Mario games, where the player shoots up a few spaces, and goes down again? It'd also need to bounce up after landing on an enemy. Is that even possible? :?: I think it could be done, but I haven't the slightest idea how. :| If anyone has accomplished this, or has info about it, that would be very helpful! Thanks!

Making tricky use of custom elements, I could imagine that something similar like you described could be possible, using CE controlled enabling and disabling of gravity and automatic player movement. But I've never tried this...
