'What has all this to do with "Request: portable rocks and diamonds
flector probably means portable as in RND not using the registry......like Total Commander or even PSP which can run off memory sticks. But RND doesn't use the registry so it is truly portable.

BTW, the first thing I do when installing XP is disable the silly zip support! ;-)

Hmm...

I downloaded 3.2.2 (for Windows) as a zip file, unzipped it into a new folder, and it still knows my current and max levels.

Quite obvious, as all versions of RnD pick up the settings from the common Rocks'n'Diamonds folder in your documents folder.
Anyway, by the way, have fun!

How would people "cheat" here? :?
The H. World levelset can be downloaded from http://www.bd-fans.com/RnD.html -- search The H. World on that page.

Why not offer a self-extracting zip-file?

I like that idea. But I'm afraid that some people still likes to run programs in the old Start -> Programs fashion

Why not simply drag'n'drop the program folder out of the Zip archive (Windows XP)?

That's what the "installer" version of R'n'D is for... :-)
