Very strange! I cannot reproduce this -- the custom pointer in your level set works as expected for me. That is, I can click everything just as with the unmodified pointer. All that new "global animations triggered by custom elements" stuff introduced by 4.3.7.0 and 4.3.7.1 definitely needs some tutorial level set to show how it works! I will try to add one here as soon as possible!

Hey, that's cool trickery using the new ".anim_mode: level_nr" feature!
Didn't know that it could be used also for the screen border!
