steps to reproduce:
  1. go up 6 tiles
  2. go left 2 tiles
  3. game crashes
if this is an invalid state for a supaplex level, know that i got here by just resizing a blank level template to 15x15, then changing the engine to supaplex.

it still happens if quick menu doors is enabled and fade screens is disabled

recently i played the actual dos version a bit. for reference, the correct behavior in the situation i posted (going through a one-way road that becomes blocked at the end) is that the player doesn't emerge at all and is considered to be dead.
